Sending Happy Thoughts

Hi all, this is Vickie.  I love to explore Pinterest when I have time and I saw this cute idea there.  All the paper listed in this post comes from Paper Temptress.  The base of this card is Treasure  Craft.  The layer where the circle is cut is Cappuccino Mica/ Metallic .  I cut the circle out with a large scalloped punch.  I also used an embossing folder on this layer.

I filled the hole with an overlay called Cream Vintage Patchwork and this overlay came from Hambly Overlays.  I stamped on this overlay with Saddle Brown Staz On.  I loved the look of the clear acetate peeking out behind the punched hole.

The flowers were stamped on  Beargrass Glimmer with Stampin' Up Baha Breeze.  This is a Stampin' Up! stamp and there's a matching punch.  The leaves were cut out of Spring Larch Glimmer.  I love Ranger distress pads, so the flowers were distressed with Vintage Photo Distress ink and the leaves were distressed with Peeled Paint Distress ink.

For added texture, I tried some Martha Stewart Crafter Clay.  The mold set that I used is called Garden Molds.  I added color to the clay with Pearl Ex powder.  The clay was a lot of fun and I love the results.  The centers of the flowers were done with the clay and the small butterflies as well.
