Directions

Paint your canvas using the foam brush.  Let set it dry.  I let it set overnight.

Then I distressed the canvas by adding Vintage photo  ink and Rusty Hing and set the canvas aside to dry while I made the flowers

After it was dry I stamped on it using a holly stamp from Time to Stamp in Aged mahogany

Then I added the another layer of the distress ink around the edges to darken the color.. with the final color being walnut...

The Poinsettia  was stamped on red paper and the leaves on green paper with black ink.  And cut out using the spellbinders dies. Then the edges of the poinsettia were distressed with vintage ink and put together using zots.
I decided I did not like the shade of red. it did not look correct, so I sprayed it with Butterscotch color wash and red tattered angel mist.  I added the red tattered angel mist to the leaves also.
On the finished flower I added The gem in the center.  The Santa was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic markers. The edges were distressed using Rusty Hinge,Vintage and Mahogany ink and applied using the ink applicator.  On the edges I distressed them with the edge of the scissor blade. This process was repeated on all the paper.  The Doily's started out white.  I misted them with butterscotch color mist and let them dry.
Then I went over the doily lightly with rich coco memento ink
The red flowers were distressed with walnut distress ink on the edges..
I glued everything onto the canvas using the zip  glue.  The Visions of Christmas was already sticky .. but would not stick to the paint.. so glued it.
The poinsettia's were grouped in the corner  see below for a closer view of where things were put.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing my Christmas canvas. This does take some time, but it is worth the effort. I know I will be making another.
