Fall is in the Air – But hang on to Summer
Well, school is going to start soon, if it hasn't already in your area. The leaves will start turning soon, and we'll have a different kind of beauty to behold. But I'd just like to hang on to summer a little longer this year. We didn't have much of a summer where I live. There's an old joke about the Pacific Northwest that we'd be lucky if summer occurred on a weekend! Pretty much that's what we got this year. Actually we got about 3-4 weekends that were very summery, but mostly it was very mild, sometimes even cold, and a lot of rain. However, I'm not really complaining; because everything bloomed and grew like crazy, and we had no catastrophic evens, no hurricanes, no tornadoes, and no volcanic eruptions. We also didn't have a lot of 95 plus degree weather. We were blessed!
Another thing about this year is that it was a HUGE sports year. We had the Summer Olympics that, in my house, was watched by somebody almost 24-7. Add to that Wimbledon, the Tour de France, and right now US Open Tennis, not to mention all the golf weekends all over the world. . Then there's baseball! So I asked the designers to show us a card that had their favorite team colors; any team would do. Come to find out, many of our designers aren't into sports all that much (what a surprise - NOT!). But they all managed to come up with a set of team colors, and gorgeous cards to display them. Some even came up with a sports theme. What a great group they absolutely rose to the challenge! I hope you enjoy what they did for us.
Later this month we'll have another wonderful sketch challenge for your viewing pleasure. As always, Regena has provided us with a gorgeous sketch and the designers have all done some beautiful cards using it. There will also be some great blog articles that will feature a number of techniques and information for you to enjoy.
Happy Fall! And Happy Stamping!
