April 2012 Map Master’s Trail Map
"Remembering"
Finished card size: 5" x 6.25"
The card was based on Regena's April 2012 Trail Map:
This was a perfect sketch to use my Ladies stamps.
SUPPLIES:
Stamps:
Hot chicks (Hampton Art)
Paper:
Three background strips ( Encaustic wax stash)
Black card stock
Light pink card stock
Green card stock
Ink:
Memento Tuxedo black ink pad (Tsukineko)
Other:
Ribbon bow punch (Martha Steward)
Transparent sheet
Pink Marvy Marker (Uchida)
Embossing folder, Cuttlebug (Provo Craft)
Directions:
- Because encaustic wax doesn't take kindly to stamps, I stamped on a transparent sheet and ran it through a zyron machine.

- I cut the three rectangle strips from my stash of encaustic backgrounds, attached the ladies and bordered with green cardstock.

- Punch four bow ribbons and shade with the pink marvy marker.

- Run the pink cardstock through the Cuttlebug, cut the two green strips and compute the saying with "Baroque" font. Now assemble all parts on a basic black card.

Never forget the past,
Grandpa Ken

Awesome card, love the colors and techniques. Rickie
Nancy, sorry, I never had a blog but took a class on this once. Just melted wax on Iron then spread and swirl on shiny card stock. Also check out Video's on you tube .
Glad you liked the card,
Ken
Great job Ken. Have you already done a blog on “encaustic backgrounds“? If not, I’d love to see how you made those.
Thank you,
Nancy T
