For this month, our theme is Complimentary Colors, which are opposite each other on the color wheel. Have you ever noticed which colors are not on the color wheel? They are black, white, and brown. If you mix two complimentary colors together, you will get brown; black is the absence of light, and white is the absence of color. Not very scientific explanation, but it will have to do. Ok, moving on now. Our artists have outdone themselves with gorgeous cards featuring complementary colors. Oh, yes, one thing you may notice is that each artist picked yellow and purple! Isn't that interesting! There might be some significance to this, but I couldn't figure it out. Is it a comment on their favorite colors? Is it because it appears so often in nature? Your guess is as good as mine! Later in the week, we'll feature one or two more complimentary color cards that feature other opposites on the color wheel.
Don't forget to check back mid month for some interesting interpretations of our trail map designed by Regena. We'll also have interesting articles every week at the Watering Hole to excite your muse, give you new information, and treat your eyes. As always, we love to hear from you on what you think of our creations, and truly welcome ideas on what you would like to see. Until next time, happy stamping!
