Today's sketch was a challenge for me I sat there at looked at the hearts, and looked at the hearts and looked at the hearts. I just could not think of a stamp that would work in the heart shape that would not scream Happy Valentines Day.  So I decided that the heart represented any shape I wanted to use.  So, with that decision made I decided to use the circle.

The stamp I choose is from Just Rite Stamps, it is one of the clear ones so it does not require a special mount. I stamped the image in black and colored with copic markers, and cut it out using a Spellbinders round die.

I decided to try something I saw on a card on a blog hop where they colored a ring around a die. I am not sure how they did it,  but this is how I did it/  I placed the next smaller die onto the image to use as a mask. and then used a copic pen to color around the edge.

The next part was to start assembling the card.  I taped the designer paper onto the yellow paper then added the ribbon.

Then I added the flower circle and  the hello.  I used Heidi Grace adhesive accents.  These are fun little accents that if you are mailing the card does not add bulk to the card. Then I added crystal petal flowers to the round die cuts. and mounted on the darker pink paper and then onto the white card stock.

Thanks for taking a look at my version of this month's map.

  1. Great card! I love the ring around the image! It really adds depth without making it bulky. The ribbon is so pretty too! A wonderful creation to put us in the mood for spring!
