  1. I began by cutting my red paper the diecut square with my Cuttlebug that was 2”(not counting the lace) and set aside.  I then stamped my poinsettia on a scrap of white paper and punched out with the deckle square.
  2. With my paper cutter I cut out a 2” square from white paper.  I colored the poinsettia leaves and background with the Copic pens and added glitter glue to center of flowers.  I then mounted the poinsettia to the 2” square of white paper and set aside.
  3. I put the design background paper to the red cardstock base (both are 4.25” x 5.5”).   I then centered the red diecut into a diamond shape direction and centered to where I thought it looked the best.  I then centered the poinsettia square on top and glued down.  My final step was adding a flower and gems from my stash to cover where the start of a word was on the design paper.
  4.  I really liked the way this card came out so I decided to make it larger.  I begin by cutting the red diecut  3”(not counting the lace).  I cut a white square 3” and stamped the design & colored.  My base card had to be 4.5” x 6” to accommodate the way the red paper would lay and still show the back text and designs and now I have 2 more cards.

This was a fun, quick, card to make, and used lots of scraps.  I love when that happens!  Merry Christmas.
