October 2011 Trail Map: Map Master’s View

When Pink is Just a Color Again
By Kal Hourd

Cancer Awareness

By: Ken Schneider, Map Master

Finished card size: 4.00 x 8.00

When I saw the October Sketch I mumbled "WTH!" But I went with the October cancer awareness theme: "Think Pink."

Supplies:
Stamps:
Cancer ribbon (Northwoods)
Paper:
Black card stock (C.S.)
Two shades of pink cardstock (C.S.)
Ink:
Color Box Pink pigment ink pad (Clearsnap)
Other:
Ribbon punch (Mc Gill)
Pink embossing powder (A La Mode)
Heat Gun
Adhesive (your choice)
Paper Cutter or craft knife and ruler
Pink Flower Soft (Flower Soft)

Directions:

  1. Cut a 4.00 x 8.00 light pink C.S. and randomly stamp the ribbon, embossing with pink E.P. Attach to basic black card.
  2. Punch five small ribbons from pink C.S.
  3. Cut pink and black C.S. into strips and triangles. Print puter sayings.
  4. Glue "flower soft" on small triangle. Don't know why, just because.

Assemble as shown.

Be aware,
Grandpa Ken
