Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

(Instructions for this card in Archives, September 2010)

It's a brand new year and we here at Stamper's Quest are excited!  We're excited about the great responses we got from you on our 2010 emphasis, "Back to the Basics."  And we're also excited about the direction we're headed for 2011. Following directly on the heels of getting back to the basics, this year we will focus on the three R's.....Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

With all the emphasis on Going Green, and reducing waste, we as stampers and artists can be an active part of that endeavor and still use all our creative juices.  With that in mind, we will occasionally be sharing organizational tips that we have found useful.   For me this will include a total revamping of my art studio.  I've learned the hard way that if I can't find it easily, I won't use it, or even worse, I'll go out and buy another one.  (Did I mention that I have five quarter inch punches?)  We'll also have occasional tips on re-purposing things that didn't work out the first time, or using things we all have around the house.

We will continue our exclusive monthly sketches, and feature occasional guest artists.  Each month we will have  new featured projects contributed by each of the artistic guides, and we have some surprises in store for you as well.  Our first feature this year is "Sympathy Cards," a subject about which many people are uncomfortable.  Be sure to check out all the tasteful and inspiring projects posted by our artists.

Our plans for the new year are exciting, and we hope you will come back often and visit.

Happy New Year to one and all!

Linda

  1. Great scene Linda!

  2. terrific. the 3 R's... and one "T" tightwad... I hate to get stuff and not use it, or hate to toss away some of the goofiest of things. the "I might use it some where." Mercy I am so that one. Reuse - Reduce and - Recycle all good things to do. In many area of our lives. Sympathy cards are so needed and when I make them it is sad, however they need more love than ever ( the ones receiving the card) so make them the very best.

  3. That is a gorgeous card Linda. And reusing and recycling is a great topic as well.

  4. So looking forward to these articles.
