Glitter (Leaf #114 by  Art Institute Glitter)
One quarter inch wide Red Line Tape
Quickie Glue Pen (Sakura)
Double-sided adhesive (GlueGlider Pro)
Photo Corners (Scrapbook Adhesives)

Directions:

  1. Place only the right side of the yellow green cardstock into the embossing folder, and run it through the cuttlebug as shown in photo below.

  2. Trim the piece a total of .25 inches so it is 5.0 x 5.0, making sure the embossed image goes to the edge on the top and bottom.  Using the Lettuce, Meadow, and Bottle ink pads with cosmetic sponges, sponge on inks, from light to dark, over entire embossed piece, leaving some variation of color.  Set aside.
  3. Cut a scrap of white cardstock to 2.375" x 1.875".  Sponge aqua on the top half, then lettuce and finally  meadow on the bottom half of the piece, in that order.
  4. With Meadow ink pad, stamp Tree Duo Large, several times across the top of the cardstock without re inking.
  5. With Bottle Green ink pad, stamp Tree Duo Large, several times across the middle and bottom of the cardstock.  Adhere it to a scrap of black cardstock, trimmed closely on all four sides.  Set aside.
  6. On a scrap of yellow green cardstock, stamp "Beauty in Nature" in Tuxedo Black ink.  Trim closely on all four sides.  Adhere to a dark green scrap, and trim closely again on all four sides.  Repeat with black cardstock.
  7. Cut a scrap of yellow green cardstock to 4.25" x 2.25".  Place it horizontally onto the score board, and, on the right edge, score a total of six lines as follows.  Make the first score, at a quarter inch from the bottom.  Score five more times, each .25" above the last score line.  These lines will be used to place the red tape in a later step.
  8. Apply photo corners to the small stamped tree piece, add some double-sided tape to the back, and center and adhere to the top of the scored piece above the score lines.
  9. Using the score lines as a guide, place a .25" wide redline tape piece onto each of the widest  (.25") scores at the bottom.  Remove the liner and turn to the back.  Add double-sided tape, and adhere this piece to a scrap of black cardstock and trim closely.  Sprinkle glitter over the redline tape strips, and shake off excess.
  10. While you have the glitter out, with the glue pen, add a little glue and sprinkle glitter just into the indented spaces of the green leaves on the embossed piece.  Now all the pieces of the front are complete.
  11. Score the half sheet card stock down the middle to make a top folding card.
  12. Adhere the embossed green card to the 5.25" x 5.25" dark green cardstock.
  13. Add photo corners and double-sided tape to the back and center and adhere to the front of the card base.
  14. Place and adhere the focal image and the sentiment to the card as shown in the photo of the completed card.

Congratulate yourself on a job well done, sign your art on the back, and send it to somebody special.
