My Extra Brain
I just started a new job as assistant manager at the new Hobby Lobby in Spokane. I find myself needing to make note of numbers and other things a lot, all over the store. I couldn’t use just any old ugly notepad for that!
Flower stamp (clear stamp, manufacturer unknown)
Adironack alcohol inks (Ranger)
Black StazOn ink pad (Tsukineko)
Peel N Stick
I started by covering my notepad with plain white cardstock, using peel n stick. This all over adhesive will make sure the cardstock is stuck all over. I picked a few stamps and stamped in a collagy way all over the front, but didn’t really like it, so I needed to cover it up with something else.
I took a piece of clear acetate and dropped alcohal ink on it, then dabbing it around with a felt square. I used yellow first, then blue and raspberry. The yellow didn’t really show in the end. I dabbed the raspberry and blue around, and added a bit of gold and dabbed some more, till I was happy with the finished result.
After the acetate dried I still needed something, so I found a dandelion stamp to stamp on the other side of the acetate with Stazon ink.
I cut a piece of the acetate in ATC size, and using Peel n Stick, put it in the middle of my note pad. Viola! A notepad for me to carry in my pocket at work.
