Faith Hope, Love

Finished card size:  5”x7”

This card is going to a friend who is recovering from surgery. Itr can also be a very different sympathy card. I love the sentiment because it can apply to so many different situations.

Supplies:
Stamps:
Kanji Faith Characters (Stampendous)
Fanciful Leaf Filaments (Hero Arts)
Sentiment – GW0625 Healing (Verses Rubber Stamps)
Paper:
Cardstock Dark Orange, Natural, Olive  (Kaleida Paper  Southwest collection – Marco's Paper)
Ink:
Archival Olive (Ranger Ink)
Other:
Paper Trimmer (Fiskars)
Punches 6 petal flower small and small leaf ( Punch Bunch)
Adhesive (Glue Glider Pro Permatac)
Distress Stickles  Spiced Marmalade ( Ranger Ink)
Mini Glue dots (unknown)

Directions:

  1. Trim Dark Orange cardstock to 10" x 7". Score the 10" side at 5" and fold.
  2. Trim the Natural cardstock to 6.75" x 4.75".  Mount on Dark Orange card.
  3. Cut 2 strips of Olive 1.5" x 3.5" and 1 strip 1.5" x 5". Set aside for layering.
  4. Stamp the 3 character kanji in Olive Archival ink on Dark Orange cardstock. Trim into 3 sections and adhere to the 1.5" x 5" strip, distributing evenly.

  5. On Natural cardstock, stamp the Fanciful Leaf Filaments 2 times in Archival Olive. Trim to 1.25" x3.25" and layer on the 2 Olive strips.

  6. Stamp Healing sentiment on a natural strip and trim to 3.25" long and .375" wide. Mount on a strip of Olive 5" x 1.125".

  7. Punch 2 small flower from remaining natural  and add a dot of Spiced Marmalade Distress Stickles in the center. Allow to dry. ( Note: the natural flowers have been placed on a dark background in the photo for visibility.)

  8. Punch 3 small leaves from remaining olive. Score a central vein and fold slightly to add depth.

  9. Arrange the  Leaf Filament, Kanji, and sentiment strips to the card according to the map.
  10. Use mini glue dots to attach leaves and flowers – the 2 on the leaves strips are on the right and the Kanji is on the left.

I hope you enjoy working with this map as much as I did.
