Is Spring Near?

Penelope patterned paper  (The Angel Company)
ColorMates, Medium Grassy Green (WorldWin)
Classic Solar White Cardstock (Neenah)
Scalloped Oval and bottom mat - Kleenex Tissue Box
Inks:
Memento ink pad, Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Material:
Glitter Dots (Jesse James)
Mesh (unknown)
Glue (TomBow Mono)
Ribbon attached with Ribbon Adhesive (K&Company)
Large Scalloped Oval (Spellbinder)
Copic Sketch Markers

Directions:

  1. Cut the following paper:
        4.25 x 11"  WorldWin, ColorMates, Medium Grassy Green
       1" x 3.25"      WorldWin, ColorMates, Medium Grassy Green
       4" x 5.25"     The Angel Company (Penelope)
       3" x 4"    Neenah Classic Solar White
       .875" x 3"    Neenah Classic Solar White
       3" x 4"   Kleenex Tissue Box
        1.25" x 3.5"    Kleenex Tissue Box
  2. Cut the large scalloped oval from the Kleenex tissue box with the Large Scalloped Oval from Spellbinders.
  3. Stamp the "Bird" on the 3" x 4" piece of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black.
  4. Color the "Bird" using your preferred coloring medium. I used Copic markers.
  5. Cut out the "Bird" using the next smaller size of the Spellbinder, Large Scalloped Oval set.
  6. Stamp the saying on the .875" x 3" Neenah Classic Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black.
  7. Adhere the sentiment mat together. (Red,Green,White).
  8. Punch the large scalloped oval, in the scallopes with a 1/16" hand punch.
  9. Attach the "Bird" oval to the Kleenx tissue box oval, and put dots with a red glitter pen in the scallopes of the white oval.
  10. Cut a piece of mesh to 4" wide and attach to the card 1.25" down on the patterned paper with K&Company, Ribbon Adhesive.
  11. Adhere the "Bird" stack and the "saying" stack to the card.
  12. Attach the Copper Glitter Dots to the card as shown, with TomBow Mono Glue.

You are now finished. Remember don't throw things out; they can be used on your cards like the Kleenex Tissue Box used in this project.
Other things that can be used include onion bags or flattened soda cans.

  1. Love your colors. And love that you used the Kleenex box for cardstock. Cool. The mesh is just the right touch to remind us of a nest.

  2. Very cool! I like the colors you used. and the layers yepp very good thanks for sharing.
    I too like to use things like the throways of tissues my favorite is cereal boxes. and onion bags, garlic bags I get are a pretty purple.
