Sue T.’s Valentine’s Day Series: Day Five

by: Sue Trembeth

I am going to make it easy on you for this final day. Just a bit of stamping. This card is easily duplicated if you need to make a few cards. Your kids could even help on this one.

Finished card size: 4.25" x 5.5"

Supplies:
Stamps:
Birthday Builder Set 9BIRM (Amuse)
Happy Heart Day 9-8223B (Amuse)
Papers:
Recycled Brown craft paper (unknown)
Spiceberry 6" x 6" paper (Memory Box)
Inks:
Mementos ink pad: Rich Cocoa  (Tsukineko)
Regal Rose (Ranger)
Other:
Heart dies by Cuttle Bug 37-1213 (Provocraft)
Glue Stick
Brown ultrafine Sharpie (Sanford Co.)
Die cutting machine of your choice

Directions:

  1. Cut brown craft paper to 5.5" x 8.5" and fold in half to form your card base.
  2. Die cut  eight  .75" hearts out of various papers from the spiceberry set.
  3. Glue the hearts down on your card base with the glue stick.
  4. Stamp "14" in the Rich Cocoa ink.
  5. Using your brown sharpie, create your frame by hand. (I cheated and used a ruler to make the lines straight!)
  6. Stamp  two tiny hearts on scrap paper with Regal Rose ink and cut out. Adhere onto card.
  7. Stamp  "happy heart day" under the frame.

This concludes my Valentine's Day series. I hope you enjoyed it and picked up some new tricks and techniques. Please let me know what you would like to see in future series.

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!!
