Sue T.’s Valentine’s Day Series: Day Three

OK !! Not all Valentine's have to be red or pink. We can try to shake it up a bit! One of my staff asked me to make a card for her 15 year old son- guitar hero extraordinaire! I was sure he wouldn't like a red or pink card.

Here is nontraditional Valentine's card for those wild and crazy guys in your life!

 

 

 

 

 

Finished card size: 4.25" x 5.5"

Supplies:
Stamps:
Heart flourish K5153  (Hero Arts)
Paisley Heart E3805 (Hero Arts)
Smooch C3035 (Uptown Rubber Stamps)
Extreme Guitar (StampinUp)
You Rock (unknown)
Papers:
White  card stock (unknown)
Brown Textured card stock (unknown)
Blue card stock (unknown)
Inks:
Close to Cocoa (StampinUp)
Not Quite Navy (StampinUp)
Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Other:
Silver heart brads (unknown)
Prussian Blue  B39  (Copic Marker)
Glue Stick
Foam Tape

Directions:

  1. Cut the  white card stock to 5.5" x 8.5" and fold in half to form your base card.
  2. Cut a piece of white card stock to 3.25" x 4".
  3. Stamp flourish on the white panel with Close to Cocoa ink. Stamp paisley heart and smooches with the  Not Quite Navy ink.
  4. Stamp guitar player with black ink over the stamped collage piece.
  5. Stamp guitar player on a piece of scrap white card stock in black ink and cut out. With foam tape mount  cut guitar player on collaged panel.
  6. Edge the collage panel with Close to Cocoa ink.
  7. Adhere the collage panel to a piece of blue card stock cut slightly larger then your white panel with the glue stick.
  8. Color silver brads with the Prussian Blue copic marker to change the color of the brads. Adhere to the lower left side of  the 4" x 5.25" brown card stock .
  9. Stamp "you rock" in black ink in the lower right corner. Adhere this panel to the base card with your glue stick.
  10. Adhere collage panel to base with foam tape.

    Ken we all need to step in to help you if your going to send your self this card. LOL I know it is tough to love cards and not get any, except from your self.. LOL silly man.

  4. I like the nontraditional colors and will keep this in mind for my 5 teens :)
