Sue T.’s Valentine’s Day series: Day Two
Welcome back Readers. Here is Day Two in my week-long Valentine Series. I am going to make you work a bit today. This is a very special card for you to give someone very special. You know who will be getting this card from me, and it won't be my sweet cat Pinkie!
Finished card size: 4.25" x 5.5"
Supplies:
Stamps:
Heart flourish K5153 (Hero Arts)
Papers:
White card stock (unknown)
Paper from an old book
Red card stock (unknown)
Inks:
Versamark ink pad (Tsukineko)
Warm Lipstick Distress Ink (Ranger)
Other:
Labels 8 die cuts (Spellbinders)
Heart die #8 (Sizzix)
Textile Embossing Folder Cuttlebug (ProvoCraft)
Gold Twin (unknown)
White Embossing powder (Judikins)
18 k Gold Leafing pen (Krylon)
Glue Stick
Foam Tape
Sponge
Die Cutting Machine of your choice
Directions:

Cut the white card stock to 4.25" x 11" and fold in half to form your base card.

Using the largest labels 8 die cut, cut your base card leaving the top edge hanging over the fold of your base card and cut with your die cutting machine. This will create a folded and die cut card.

Emboss front of base card with the textile embossing folder.

Die cut the red card stock with next smaller label die. Edge the piece with the gold leafing pen. Adhere this panel to your base card with the glue stick.

Die cut the book page with the next smaller label die. Stamp the heart flourish with the Versamark ink and heat emboss with the white embossing powder.

Sponge the edges with the Warm Lipstick Distress ink.

Die cut your heart from the center of the book panel.

Cut a piece of red card stock to fit under heart opening and emboss with the textile embossing folder. Adhere to red panel under the book piece with the glue stick.

Tie gold twine around book panel as shown in sample. Adhere book panel to base card with foam tape, making sure the embossed red area shows through heart opening.

I do like this card.. I am going to have to invest in some embossing folders and die cuts and a machine to do such things. I do have a sizzix personal die cutter, from a long time ago. I have nothing bigger or any more versatile help and siggestions..Please.
This is a fabulous card! I definitely want to try it, but I don't think my Nesties are that large!
