Treat Bags in a Flash
By: Penny Yoder, Artistic Guide
Finished size: 3.5" x 5.5"
Supplies:
Stamps:
Merry Christmas (Stampin' Up)
Snowflakes (Stampin' Up)
Paper:
3.5" x 4" red cardstock (JoAnns)
Ink:
Palette Moulin Rouge (Superior)
Silver stamp pad (unknown)
Other:
Peppermint candy or any treat of your choice
3" x 4" ziplock bag (Michael's or JoAnns)
8" Ribbon (Michael's)
2" scallop die (Nestibilities by Spellbinder) or any other scallop die/punch
Strong adhesive
Directions:
-
Fill the ziplock bag with the candy of your choice.
-
Score the red cardstock (the topper) at 2" on the 4" side. (Folded, it should measure 3.5" x 2") Adhere the strong adhesive along the center of both sides.
-
Then adhere the bag to the adhesive on one side and fold down the top. This will hold the bag in place.
-
Place adhesive in the center of the topper, attach the ribbon to the adhesive, wrap the ribbon around the back of the topper, bringing it back to the front. Place additional adhesive to the ribbon edge that is already attached to the topper, and attach the loose end of the ribbon to that adhesive.
-
Cut/punch out the scallop circle from the 2.25" x 2.25" piece of white cardstock. Using the silver ink pad, stamp snowflakes at random and using the Moulin Rouge ink pad, stamp Merry Christmas in the center.
I hope you have fun making these. They are quick, easy, and you can have a basket full in no time. Enjoy!!!
