M & M Candy Gift Jar

2.25" x 8.5" Christmas Candy patterned paper
2" x 8.5" white cardstock
1.75" x 8.5" red cardstock
1.5 x 8.5" Christmas Candy patterned paper
3" x 3" white cardstock (for the 2 5/8" scallop)
2.75" x 2.75" red cardstock (for the 2 3/8" scallop)
2.5" x 2.5" Christmas Candy patterned paper
2 pieces of 2" x 2" white cardstock
1.75" x 1.75" Christmas Candy patterned paper
Ink:
Palette Moulin Rouge (Superior)
Other:
A Starbuck's Frappacino Bottle with the lid, washed and labels removed
Nestabilities:  (Spellbinder) or die/punches of your choice
     circle scallops, sizes:
          1.375"
          1.625"
          2.125"
          2.375"
          2.625"
.25" x 6.25" green satin ribbon (Michael's)
Strong adhesive and mounting foam
Red and Green M & M candies

Directions:

  1. Cut all the paper and the ribbon.
  2. Cut all the circle scallops:
    2.625" scallop out of the 3" x 3" white cardstock
    2.375" scallop out of the 2.75" x 2.75" red cardstock
    2.125" scallop out of the 2.5" x 2.5" Christmas Candy patterned paper
    2-  1.625" scallops out of the 2" x 2" pieces of white cardstock
    1.375" scallop out of the 1.75" x 1.75"

  4. Adhere one of the 1.625" white scallops to the lid of the bottle. Adhere the 1.375" Christmas Candy paper scallop to that white scallop. Adhere the ribbon around the side of the lid. Set aside.

  6. Adhere the red scallop to the white scallop, then adhere the Christmas Candy paper scallop to the red scallop.

  8. Next, stamp the images on the other 1.625" white scallop.

  10. Adhere this to the 2.125" Christmas Candy paper with foam mounting tape.
  11. Adhere the 2.25" x 8.5" Christmas Candy paper around the bottle, overlapping the edges. This will be the front of the bottle. Next, adhere the white strip, then the red strip, then the Christmas Candy strip in the same manner.
  12. Next, using mounting foam tape, adhere the medallion to the front of the bottle, covering up the seam where the strips of paper came together.
  13. Last but not least, fill the bottle with red and green M & Ms.
