DIGITAL STAMP: A digital stamp in crafting, stamping, card making and scrapbooking is a digital image printed onto paper from the user's printer. Digital stamps come in a variety of formats, including PNG, JPG, and TIFF. Digital stamps offer many advantages over traditional rubber stamps because of their ability to be flipped, resized, rotated and easily stored.

In addition, digital stamps can be printed on a variety of papers and cardstocks, and when properly heat sealed can be used with a variety of coloring mediums including colored pencil, copic markers, even watercolors.

Here at SQ  we look for new and exciting products, techniques, and news concerning rubber stamping. We've had quite the controversial conversation between design team members for the past couple of months regarding digital stamps, better known as 'digi stamps.'  As a result, we have a digital design company who offered to sponsor a Designer's Challenge to bring this alternative to traditional rubber stamping to you. 

Digital, or digi, stamps are not meant to replace your traditional rubber/clear stamps, but to supplement the way in which you can create your cards with a different type of medium.  The types of images are as varied as images found in traditional rubber stamps.  Yes, they are different, but keep an open mind and see if you might like to play a bit with them. Afterall, that is what art and crafting are all about - experimenting with different media to create our artwork!

This month we feature Mygrafico.  We had 5 Artistic Guides sign up to participate in the challenge.
