Glittery Glimmering Christmas Balls
By: Sue Trembeth, Artistic Guide

This is a super easy and inexpensive gift to make for co-workers, teachers and friends. You can make this project as easy or as complicated as you want.

Follow along with me, in the video, as I create these gorgeous ornaments.  I have also included the supply list and written directions below.

Supplies:
Glitter: (Martha Stewart)
     Blue Sapphire
     Peridot
     Green Agate
     Tourmaline
Clear glass Christmas ornaments, choice of size  (any craft store)
Ribbon of your choice
Secret Ingredient
Optional:
Embellishments of your choice, such as: gems, flowers, beaded fringe

Directions:

  1. Remove the hanger from the glass ornament.  Pour a puddle of your secret ingredient- FUTURE FLOOR FINISH into the ornament. With a swirling motion coat the entire inside of the ornament and drain the extra liquid back into the bottle.

  3. Using a paper funnel, dump a moderate amount of glitter inside the ornament. Using the same swirling motion, cover the entire ornament with glitter. Dump the excess back into the bottle.

  5. Replace the hanger back in the ornament. At this point you can embellish your ornament with flowers, gems, ribbon or fringe. Your Christmas ornament is ready to hang or to give as a gift.

  9. Cool project and really nice video tutorial. Thank you!

  10. These are really lovely. I have done this before with clear art varnish.. this is just as lovely and bet the "Future" is a whole lot less expensive. I too like the Martha Stewart glitter.. Its a good thing. how well do these dry? do they flake off? in side and look patchy? thiss has happened with some ornaments I have made with acryllic paint but only after 8-9 years, I guess that isn't so bad.
Thanks for the video.. I do appreciate it. makes me want to make some now!
