Polished Stone Bountiful Thanksgiving Card

Cream Card Stock (Unknown)
Wax Paper (Reynolds)
Ink:
Brilliance - Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
Alcohol Inks: (Ranger)
     Butterscotch
     Raisin
     Cranberry
     Gold Mixative
Other:
Collage Graphic (Memories in the Making)
Alcohol Blending Solution (Ranger)
Tissue Paper (Unknown)
Glue Stick (Scotch)
Paint Pen - Gold (Krylon)
Ribbon - Burgandy, 6" (Offray)

Directions:

  1. Cut a 4.25" x 11" piece of card stock and fold in half to create a card.
  2. Stamp the phrase on the cream card stock and tear out to 3" x 3.5".
  3. Edge the phrase in gold paint.
  4. Attach the ribbon to the card front about 1" from the left edge with the glue.
  5. Print out the harvest themed graphics on the cream card stock and trim out neatly in a 3" square.
  6. Lay the wax paper on a protected surface and drop the butterscotch ink onto it in random spots allowing it to flow and dry.

  8. Repeat with the raisin and cranberry inks, allowing the inks to blend where they touch.

  10. Once all the inks have dried, using a piece of tissue paper, add some blending solution to the inks and smudge around, blending the colors.

  12. After the paper has dried, crumple it up into a ball and smooth out.

  14. Using the gold mixative and tissue paper, rub across the inked paper catching the wrinkled areas.

  16. Cut the inked paper to 2.5" x 4.25 and attach to the right hand side of the card.
  17. Attach the graphics to the front of the card, along with the stamped phrase layering and overlapping.
