Stamps:
House (Stamp-o-Rama) 
Tornado  (Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers)
Dorothy  (All Night Media)
Greetings  (Emerald City)
Paper: 
Ranger's glossy white card stock, cut and folded into 4.25" x 5.5" card
Inks: 
Nick Bantock collection - (Ranger)
   Chrome Yellow
   Sapmoss Green
   Deep Turquoise
   Cerulean Azure
   Charcoal Grey
   Jet Black Archival Ink Pad (Ranger) 
   Clear Resist ink pad (Ranger)
   Sepia ink pad (Ranger)
Other: 
Scrap of white paper for masks
Brick stencil (Unknown)
Small sponge, cut into several pieces
Scissors
 

Directions

  1. Stamp "Greetings from the Land of Oz" randomly on white card with resist ink. Let dry completely.

  2. Stamp house (turquoise) and Dorothy(charcoal) on top of greetings.

  3. Stamp and cut out masks of both the house and Dorothy. *see note below for masking technique.
  4. Mask House and stamp Tornado using Sepia Ink. Let dry completely.
  5. Mask Dorothy. Color in brick stencil with Chrome yellow on sponge.

  6. Remove Mask and color Dorothy and Toto using Cerulean Azure and Charcoal Grey on sponges.
  7. Apply Sapmoss Green with sponge to background. The more you you rub the ink on the more the clear resist will show up.
  8. Stamp Greetings From the Land of OZ randomly on card, using Jet Black ink.

  9. There you go, you are finished. Don't forget to sign your art work. 

* A mask covers your primary image while you color over and around it. Stamp the image on scrap paper and cut it out--just inside the lines. Place this image over the one on your card (use removeable double stick tape.) As you add color or other stamps, your central image will be protected by the mask. When complete, remove the mask and save it for future projects.
