Too Busy Dusting

Throughout the Color Conversations with Darlene Domel DVD, Darlene's wit and humor just gets better and better.  Darlene's little tips for using large background stamps, what product to use to get ink off your fingers, how to save money and more, are some of the best tips I've heard in a long time.  The best laugh I got from the DVD was Darlene's quote, "Rubber stamping is not for sissies."  I about fell on the floor laughing.

Today I share with you my projects using the grid technique, the plaid technique and the shadow box technique from the DVD.  I love the shadow box technique - I can make custom-made sized boxes to fit the stamps I want to use. How cool is that?

So many different looks and techniques packed into this one DVD is simply amazing!  To create all these different looks, all you need are:  dye ink pads, color duster brushes, Eclipse tape, and rubber stamps.  That's why I love it!  Interest and color created with a minimal amount of supplies, and it's so darned simple; back to the basics of rubber stamping. No gadgets, doodads, special inks are needed to create these stunning designs. You just can't lose!

This DVD really is a must-have in your library of technique DVDs. It's entertaining as well as packed with tons of information, how-tos and samples. Darlene tells us at the end of the DVD that they are working on a masking DVD and to watch their website for updates as to when the DVD will be available for purchase.  I don't know about anyone else, but I can hardly wait to see the new DVD!

So check out the Stampland Chicago website to order your copy of Color Conversations with Darlene Domel.  You can also buy all the supplies you need to create the techniques shown in the DVD, along with the beautiful stamp images that Stampland Chicago is so well known for. Make sure to tell them you heard about the DVD  from Stamper's Quest!

Until next time....Happy Trails!

  1. Thank you Dot! I can't believe how darned easy they are to create. It took me longer to choose the stamps than it did to create the backgrounds...lol
