Question from a Questor

We received an interesting question yesterday and want to share it with everyone here at Stamper's Quest.  Perhaps someone is familiar with selling artwork for stamps and can help Kathy out.

Hi I am an artist, illustrator and I am interested in designing and selling my art work to rubber stamp companies. This is new to me and am wondering if you can direct me to finding out how much to charge for a design that will be making money. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there any one out there that can point Kathy in the right direction?

  1. Thanks for the info. I will check out the list. If I sell my design, than I will only recieve a flat fee, even though the company who buys it will be making a lot of money from it? Doesn't seem fair. Is that how it is?

  2. I happened to run across this list and thought of you!! It is a list of companies that purchase artwork. It was updated on March 17, 09!

  3. My friend, Kathy York, owns RubberStampAve. She said that she pays her artists between $40 and $70 per design depending on their size and how intricate. It is a one time payment. I don't know what other stamp companies pay.
