Laughing Earth

All around my home in north Georgia there are daffodils and hyacinth in bloom. The red bud and pear trees are in full array, and the dogwood trees are budding.  The change of season is a magical time. (Fall is equally magical. Albert Camus said, "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.") The colors brighten a dreary landscape and refresh the spirit. At each turn, the earth bursts forth in living laughter.

Here on the Quest, April is a month to celebrate color. The design team challenged itself to  "Anti-Pastel,"  eshewing the traditional soft colors of spring and embracing the vivid and vivacious. Of course there are plenty of cards, but you'll also find some fun ideas for gifts, home decor, and jewelry, too. Every thing celebrates the joy of color.

A new Artistic Guide debuts her work in this edition. Chris Herrmann is a gifted artist with loads of ideas to inspire and teach you.  Read her bio and then check out her offerings on the trail.

There are plenty of other plans for April, so be sure to check what's "New on the Trail" for details. We have a fantastic guest artist, a video review, reader submissions, and, of course, the monthy projects!

This month, have fun with all the turns on the Quest. Then make time to enjoy the magnificent colors around you--and laugh with the earth.

Awaken your Muse!

  1. I'm delighted we can be there for you all the way in Bali!!!

  2. I love your magazine. I live in Bali, where there are no stamping shops or classes available. To keep up to date I need the internet to see all the new techniques, your magazine is helping me tremendously.
