18kt Gold Leafing Pen (Krylon)

Directions:
- Put 5 to 6 drops of the Chile Pepper ink and a squirt of the blending solution on the applicator felt and ‘pounce' it all over the entire half sheet of white glossy cardstock, adding more ink and solution as needed. Hint: The best way to get even color coverage on a half sheet with the ink is to work it randomly all over instead of working from one side or corner to the other.
- Heat set the ink for a few seconds, then repeat step 1, this time adding a few dots of the gold leafing pen directly to the applicator with the ink and blending solution. Heat set again.
- Trim a 1.375 x 8.5" strip from the alcohol inked sheet. Edge with the gold leafing pen and set aside.
- Ink the Rosette stamp with the Charcoal ink and carefully stamp it in the top left corner of the remaining background sheet. (Tip: Stamping in a corner or along a straight edge makes trimming into a panel easier and it's a more efficient way to use your cardstock and papers.)
- Stamp the 'Dream Big' text with the same ink in the lower left corner. Sprinkle the detail black powder on both images, tap off the excess and heat emboss. Hint: Don't use an anti-static pouch with Alcohol inks before adding embossing powder. It's really not necessary and it dulls the gloss on the inks. Excess powder comes off the paper very well.
- Trim the Rosette panel to 3" x 3.75" and the Dream panel to 1.75" x 2.75". Edge both panels with the gold pen.
- Cut two panels from the white matte cardstock, one 3.25" x 4" and one 2" x 3". Edge both panels with the Cardinal ink by lightly pressing the edges into the inkpad.
- Adhere the stamped images to their respective white panels. Add Goldenrod Stickles to the center of the ‘ribbon' on the heart image and dot the corners of both panels. Let dry.
- Add Crystal Stickles to the top and bottom edges of the Goldenrod on the ribbon and on the rosette. Set aside to dry.
- Make the tall card base by folding a sheet of white matte cardstock in half to 8.5" x 5.5". Trim the width of the card to 4.25".
- With the Cardinal ink, stamp a single row of the Triple Hearts down the left side of the card front and the Dream stamp on the right side.
- Adhere the long strip (from Step 3) to the left center of the card, approximately .875" from the edge.
- Center the Rosette panel on the top half of the card and the Dream panel right below it as shown.
- Sign your masterpiece and send it to someone special. The card will fit into a legal size envelope and could be made for Valentine's Day, a birthday or even a retirement or graduation! The layout and images lend themselves to almost any special occasion. The size alone would make anybody feel special and you'll be proud of yourself for breaking out of the A2 size ‘card box'!
