Finished Card Size: A2, 4.25" x 5.5"

Supplies:
Stamps:
Floral heart stamp (Magenta)
Inks:
Black pigment ink pad (Stampendous)
Papers:
White card stock card base (unknown)
Red card stock (unknown)
Black text weight (unknown)
Love & Wedding scrapbook kit-in-a-stack (DCWV)
Other Supplies:
Heart border punch (Fiskars)
Crafters Pick Ultimate Glue
Black Opal embossing powder (unknown)

Directions:

  1. Cut two coordinating pieces of scrapbook paper: piece 1 about 1.5" wide, piece 2 about 2.75" wide.
  2. Glue the narrower paper to the top of the card and the wider piece of paper to the bottom of the card using a landscape format. (Card is wider than tall) You have some wiggle room here as the joining seam will be covered.
  3. Cut a 5.5" x .75" piece of red cardstock.
  4. Using black text weight paper, punch out a long (about 12") heart border. Cut it from the main body of the paper.  Cut this strip in half. You will want to leave enough here to glue to both sides of the Red card stock strip cut in step 3.
  5. Glue black heart border to both sides of red cardstock strip. Glue this "ribbon" over the seam of the two papers on your card base. Position it so that it is pleasing to your eye. You can now use the card base itself to measure and trim off any excess length of the "ribbon".
  6. Stamp the heart with black pigment ink on red cardstock.
  7. Apply Black Opal embossing powder and heat with heat gun.  Cut out the heart and glue over the black heart border and red card stock strip.
  8. Give it to your sweetie for Valentine's Day with a kiss and a smile.
