Studio Quest – January Reader Submissions

This month debuts our new Studio Quest. Studio Quest is where to find monthly challenges to submit your artwork to the magazine.  You can always find this page on the left sidebar, under the red box which shows all the pages available at Stamper's Quest magazine.

To help you get there quickly from this post, click here and you will find yourself at the Studio Quest page. Check out all the challenges we have for you during 2009! Be sure to make a note of the absolute due dates, you don't want to be late with your submissions.

January's Think Spring Pantone Color Challenge was to create cards using the Spring Pantone Color Palette.  We received cards from Janet Burditt of Evans, Georgia.  All the cards Janet submitted are over at the Sketchbook. Here we are featuring three, with the supplies she used to create them.

Supplies: Paperworks Kit of the Month Club paper and cardstock; Adirondack Earthtone ink pads, Eggplant (Ranger). Stamps: My Sentiments Exactly, Fluttering By; Rubber Stampede, Majestic Butterfly.

Remember we said we will donate all cards you send to a charity of our choice?  I was visiting Nichole Heady's blog recently and found in November where she had a "Pass it On" challenge to donate cards to charities.  For this month I chose to "Pass it On" to the Gift of Life Housing in Great Falls, Montana. The Gift of Life provides housing for patients receiving cancer treatments through the Sletten Cancer Center and Benefit Hospital. I can attest personally that from the time a person is diagnosed with cancer, through the treatment and surgery stages, folks tend to get down and need something to brighten their day.  I know the Center will appreciate having these cards to slip under the door of someone staying in the housing during their treatments to give them a little pick me up.  I have personally stayed at the Gift of Life and know what a caring staff of folks they are! So Janet, thank you for providing some smiles to some very lucky folks who will receive your cards!

The March challenge cards are due the end of January, so you still have time to participate!  Get those stamps, papers and inks out and get down and inky!  We love to feature your artwork!  Remember all artwork must include the information shown in Studio Quest.  We cannot publish cards without stamp credits.

Happy Trails!
