December Sketch Card and Samples

Ooops! I'm a day late with our monthly sketch card. So sorry. Life has been pretty hectic here and the days are flying by. I'm having a terrible time keeping track!  Hope you enjoy this month's sketch. It is a multi-layered beauty!

As always, our sketches and samples appear in our Sketchbook gallery. We are in the midst of changing our gallery to a different site, so please bear with us until it is done. I think you will agree, the new Sketchbook will be an improvement over what we have now.  Stay tuned for the announcement!

So without further ado, here's the Sketch for December!

Regena's December Sketch

This bright and cheery redition by Heidi has a cute little snowglobe snowman and snowflakes, reminding us that winter is coming.

Regena's beautiful rendition has a color scheme you generally wouldn't think of for the holidays.  Try your hand at creating un-traditional holiday colors!

Melanie's rendition is a gorgeous blend of blues and greens. She created the background using Ranger's Adironack dye inks by apply the inks to a craft sheet (drag the ink pad across the sheet) and then spritz with water to blend the inks. Using glossy cardstock, turn glossy side down and drag through the inks. Let dry, or if you are impatient, use a heat tool to dry. Just be careful to not burn the paper.  You can use any dye ink pads, or Ranger's Distress ink pads. Alcohol inks can be used for this method also, you just apply the blending solution to the inks instead of spraying with water.

And last, but not least, is Stephanie's soothing green and brown 'Let it Snow' card. Instead of circles, she used a mix of squares and rectangles for her embellished layers.

Now it's your turn to create some cards of your own with December's sketch.  Be sure to share with us!  Our Sketchbook needs some artwork in it from our readers!

Happy Holidays!
