Starry Christmas Tree

Here's a quick and easy Christmas card using a minimal amount of supplies. Make up several in an evening to send out to family and friends, using all different colors and patterned papers. No one needs to know that you didn't spend hours on these little gems!

 Supplies:
Stamps:
Starry Christmas Tree (Denami Design)
Merry Christmas Sentiment (Denami Design)
Papers:
Pre-made Bulk White Card (Michael's)
Burgundy and Blue Cardstock(Bazzill)
Dawning Damask Paper-Camel color-(Imaginisce)
Inks:
Versamark Watermark Ink Pad (Tsukineko)
Other:
Blue Embossing Foil Powder (Ranger)
Crystal Stickles Glitter Glue (Ranger)
Yellow Stardust Gelly Roll Pen (Sakura)
3 Copper Brads (Making Memories)
Adhesive of choice
Paper Cutter
Heat Embossing Tool (Uchida)

Directions:

  1. Cut Burgundy cardstock to measure 6.5" x 5". Cut Blue cardstock to 2.5" x 3". Cut Camel paper to
    3.5" x 4.5".
  2. Using the Versamark ink pad, stamp the Starry Christmas tree stamp on to the Camel paper. Cover with the Blue Foil embossing powder and heat until melted. 
  3. Color the top star of the tree with the Yellow Stardust gelly roll pen. Using the same pen draw lines around the star (see photo).
  4. Attach the Blue cardstock to the stamped tree, as shown in the photo.
  5. Attach this to the burgundy piece of cardstock.
  6. Squiggle a line of Crystal glitter glue through the stars on the tree. Set aside to dry.
  7. Cut Blue cardstock to measure 1.25" x 3".  Cut Camel piece of paper to 1" x 2.75".
  8. Using the Versamark ink, stamp ‘Merry Christmas' on the Camel piece of paper. Cover with the Blue Foil embossing powder and heat until melted.
  9. Layer the Camel piece to the Blue piece and attach to the card front.
  10. Attach 3 Copper brads to the lower right-hand corner.
  11. Attach the card front to the card base.
  12. Sign your card and send to a favorite person to enjoy!

  2. This card looks even better "up close and in person." The glitter glue swirl down the center of the tree adds just the right touch.
