Directions for all the parts:

  1. Trim the Burgundy suede print paper to 7.75 x 9.75".  Stamp the large ornate snowflake all over the paper with the Silver Brilliance ink and heat set to dry.
  2. Adhere this piece to the front of the canvas board.  Set aside.
  3. Cut an 8" x 3" piece of the Blue Spattered paper.  Randomly stamp the ornate snowflake with the Dark Peony ink all over the blue panel and heat set.
  4. Randomly over-stamp the "happy holidays" text with the Majestic Blue VersaFine ink and clear emboss.  Edge this panel with the Peony ink.
  5. Layer the stamped blue panel with a tan panel 8.125" x 3.125", a burgundy panel 8 .125" x 3.125", and finally a white panel 8.75" x 3.75".  Set aside.
  6. Stamp the ornament three times on white cardstock with Majestic Blue ink and clear emboss.  Leave enough space in between to punch out with the oval punch.
  7. Color the ornaments with the dark red Tombow marker, layering the ink to get it as dark as possible.
  8. Paint over the red in the ornaments with the Black Cherry H2Os.
  9. Color the ornament bow with the Dark Blue gel pen and the cap with Silver glitter glue.
  10. Add Frosted Lace glitter glue accents, following the curve of the ornament.  Note:  Because the Tombow ink and the H2Os are not permanent, they will ‘bleed' into the glitter glue, making it red.  Once it's dry, add another layer of the Frosted Lace to get the ‘white' in the glitter to show up more.  The first layer helps to seal the color somewhat.  You could also add white gel pen accents either on top of or under the glitter glue.  If you have a permanent ink deep red or burgundy marker, by all means use it.  I chose these two to get the burgundy color, and they were what I had available at the moment.  Note to self:  Buy a burgundy marker!
  11. Once the glue is dry, punch the ornaments out with the oval punch and sponge Dark Peony ink around the image and on the edges.
  12. Layer each oval ornament with white, trim with deckle edge scissors and edge with the red Tombow.  Set these aside.
  13. Cut the following from the blue glossy paper:  a strip 8" x .5", a 2" square and another strip 3 x 1".
  14. Layer the two blue strips with tan cardstock.   Trim one edge of the long strip and both edges of the short one with the mini scallop scissors.   Cut a ‘V' in one end of the short strip as shown.
  15. Layer the 2" blue square with white and trim with the mini scallop scissors.  Set the blue pieces aside.
  16. On a 2.5" piece of the tan cardstock, stamp the Holiday Wishes text in Majestic Blue, clear emboss and then punch out with the 2" circle punch.
  17. Edge the circle with Dark Peony, layer with white and trim with the mini scallop scissors.  Add Frosted Lace glitter glue to the stars on the image and set aside to dry.
  18. Punch out a 3" circle from white cardstock. Randomly stamp the smaller snowflakes all over it with the Dark Peony ink and sponge the same ink around the edges.
  19. Layer the 3" circle to a tan layer, trim with the deckle edge scissors and edge with the Red marker.
  20. Cut a piece of tan cardstock 8.5" x 6".  Stamp the Poinsettia Points at one end in Majestic Blue and clear emboss.
  21. Now, this is what you need the Petal Points inkpad for.  The reason no color was specified is because you're not using the ink.  You're going to use the clear scalloped lid to ‘stamp' the mat!
  22. Ink the scalloped flat bottom edge of the lid with the Blue ink and ‘stamp' it on the other end of the tan piece and clear emboss.  Clean the ink off the lid and put it back on the Petal Points.  You're done with it.

  24. Stamp the snowflake flourish around the edges of the scalloped mat with Dark Peony.
  25. Apply glitter glue on top of the embossed scalloped edge, let dry then cut out.
  26. Layer the scallop mat with white and carefully trim with the mini scallop scissors.
  27. Color the Poinsettia Petals the same as you did for the ornaments (Red Tombow marker and Twinkling H2Os).   Lift off some of the color with the paintbrush and water to add highlights.
  28. Color the leaves with the Teal Blue Tombow marker and the blender pen.
  29. Add Frosted Lace glitter glue to the swirls on the petals and Gold glitter glue to the center dots.  Let dry.
  30. Cut out the poinsettia (without the dots) and edge with both Tombow markers.
  31. To make the snowflake circles, cut 1" strips of white cardstock and stamp the snowflakes down the center of the strip with Dark Peony for some and the Black Cherry H2Os for more.  Make as many as you want to ‘top off' your design, remembering to leave room for the .75" round punch.  Add Crystal glitter glue dots to the centers and let dry.

Directions for assembling:

  1. Adhere the blue, layered panel to the (center) left side of the canvas board.
  2. Measure 2" from the bottom and attach the long blue strip across the bottom of the board, scalloped edge down.
  3. Layer the 3" white snowflake circle to the center of the scalloped mat.
  4. Attach the scalloped mat to the center right, overlapping both the blue panel and the blue strip (approx 2.25" from the bottom of the canvas board).
  5. Adhere one of the ornaments to the glossy blue square (on point) and center it on the long blue panel with 3D glue dots, overlapping the scalloped mat as shown.
  6. The remaining ornaments are attached above and below the blue matted ornament.
  7. The short blue strip is attached about 1.5" from the top with the V-cut towards the center. Add the Holiday Wishes circle with 3D glue dots to the short strip.
  8. Attach the poinsettia to the center of the scalloped mat with 3D glue dots.
  9. Punch out the snowflake circles and randomly attach them all over the board.  If you plan on framing this, keep the circles within .25" from the edges.
  10. Sign your work, sit back and enjoy your masterpiece.
